The gentleman at reception, I didn't catch his name but he was working at around 5pm on Dec 27 2024 was very pleasant. Took the time to show us a map of the local area and recommend food options. The room was very spacious and clean. The building felt secure. There was free parking on the street from 5pm on Fridays and from 12pm Saturday to Monday morning which was a huge bonus. Decent TV with access to Netflix etc was appreciated. Water pressure was great. The location is great local shops including woolies, maccas etc was a few blocks walk away. The Newcastle tram station is also a 5 min walk away which takes you all the way to Newcastle beach so you can leave the car at home. Appreciated access the gym on site. The air conditioning in the room was great. Great sized bar fridge provided.

Best of both worlds - you get a really decent sized apartment which is serviced everyday. You don’t get a weird host asking you to put the bins out and complaining about the way you put plates away. This is a historic building. We stayed in two different two bedroom apartments over a period of a week (as we were back and forth from Sydney). They’ve done a great job of keeping the historic elements in the rooms. Beds are comfortable. Block out curtains do a great job. There is an oven and a dishwasher. My daughter cooked brownies in the oven. We had no issues getting parking and had our own reserved spot for the whole trip.

We stayed here for the Pink concert. $9 a night parking across the road at Wilson’s parking and directly across from the interchange where we caught the shuttle to and from the stadium. On arrival the staff were welcoming and friendly, they had pink lemonade, which was refreshing on the warm day and pink lollipops. The apartment was amazing felt like a home away from home, clean and roomy. It was absolutely fantastic.

Our room was a 1 bedroom apartment which was fabulous. Plenty of room, the high vaulted ceilings with old timber beams were really lovely. The kitchenette was handy & having a lounge, tv & small dining table in a separate space was great. The bathroom was roomy with everything we needed. We love the character of the old building and the renovation has been beautifully carried out. A great place to stay.

The room was very clean, tidy, well equipped with everything a family needs, close to the river and a reasonable walk into the main streets and headland of Newcastle. The staff were super pleasant and approachable, and we had assistance with anything we needed.
